HUGE news: Chapter 3 of our AI & Design Systems course is officially DONE!* 🎉🎉🎉
Chapter 3 contains 64 lessons and over four hours (🤯) of video content detailing how to use AI to improve the quality of your design systems.
As I shared in Slack last week (which if you’re not in there, you should totally be in there!), the chapter is structured around a Design System Multi-Point Inspection to address your design system's check engine light. The videos frame each station, and we created an open-source Design System Multi-Point Inspection Kit that you can use as a guide to give your design system a tune-up.
My demos run the inspection on our Eddie design system (it got a 70/100 initial score), and I fixed a slew of the issues it flagged (Fixed a modal focus trap accessibility issue, killed dead props, added 400 missing unit tests 😬, produced a governance diagram, fixed our agentic feedback loop, published the eddie-brain MCP, and a LOT more). It took Eddie**'s inspection score from a** 70/100 to an 83/100. I'm not gonna lie, it felt REALLY GOOD to see a bunch of green emoji dots when I re-ran the inspection.

Eddie quality score: 70/100 → 83/100, 61 issues closed, 17 PRs merged, 1 MCP published
Beyond my demos, TJ and Ian share a slew of practical demos showing how to use an arsenal of tools (Figma Console MCP, Figma MCP, Story UI, FigmaLint, Company Docs, Mintlify, and more) to improve the quality of design systems.
We so appreciate your ongoing patience and support as we put this course together. We know we've been at it for a while, but we're really proud of how everything is coming together. So THANK YOU. We'd love it if you check out the videos, run an inspection on your own design system (and share the results with us!), and gave us your honest feedback.
TJ, Ian, and I are now pointing AI and our newly improved design systems to build great digital products in Chapter 4. We already have a ton of demos recorded and have been working on evolving our processes around this for, like, years. We’re excited to show you how you can use AI and your sturdy design system foundations to build/improve/rebuild/redesign/evolve/elevate your digital products.
*An important note on the chapter structure: it's deliberately built so we can slot in fresh demos as the AI landscape keeps evolving, this chapter is alive and will grow as necessary. So keep the conversation going; if there are demos you'd like to see that make sense to include, we can record them.
Thanks all! - Brad Frost, Ian Frost, and TJ Pitre
