We’ve been firing on all cylinders and wanted to share an exciting update on our AI & Design Systems course. We just snapped the whole arc of the course into its final shape on the course platform, which means:
â—‰ Every chapter intro is in place
â—‰ TJ's practical LinkedIn demonstration videos are slotted into their respective
â—‰ The majority of Chapter 1 is allllmost fully recorded and released
◉ All DS+AI jam sessions we’ve been holding with the community (including our latest one from are all represented on the platform.
There are a few important things to note:
◉ We now have over 14.5 hours of AI & Design Systems content available for you to check out right now. 🤯 We’ve been so heads-down stressing about not having enough in place that we didn't realize how much we’ve actually accumulated. Now, we’re going to Mark Twain our way into a shorter letter, replacing these non-course videos with tighter and more produced videos and demos.
◉ That more-produced videos, demos, and resources take time. So we’re approaching the creation of the course like a progressive JPEG (which you may be familiar with if you’ve ever generated an image using ChatGPT).
Rather than creating the course linearly, we’re approaching the creation of this course by building up its fidelity. As I describe in this video, we’re doing this for a few reasons:

We don’t want to hold practical and in-the-weeds demos hostage while we produce everything

This stuff is shifting and changing ALL THE TIME, so we want the course to be extensible and modular so that we can add new demos for new concepts

We have me, TJ, and Ian all making stuff so can cover more ground.
It’s been a challenge and has taken many rounds to get to a point where we are in All Systems Go mode, but we’re thankful to be here now! You can expect more regular updates and more completed sections soon!
Last Jam Session highlights
In our last jam session, our pal Dan Donald demoed Gotrino, a tool he's building that ingests design system sources and produces actionable health scores. He also made a great case for why specialist AI agents (accessibility, QA, etc.) outperform generalist ones — and why you need an orchestrator to synthesize their sometimes-conflicting advice. REALLY cool and important stuff.
