Fantastic advice from Sara.
If you don’t have a blog already, make one. Write. Publish. Share. You’ll never know how many doors one small article might open up for you.
I 100% agree. And I’ve certainly been in Sara’s position where your own expectations as a paralyze you and prevent you from writing.
One other thing I’d add to Sara’s sage advice is to write even when you feel like other people have said what you want to say (and of course you feel they’ve said it better). Sharing your perspective is crucial for a number of reasons. As Sara points out in her post, sometimes your style might resonate more with people vs another person’s style. But also, it’s extremely helpful to see multiple people validate a concept/thought/technique. Good ideas are worth sharing irrespective of how many times they’ve already been shared.
